Thatcher Rock

Even though it can be extremely windy on the coast during some days, mainly during winter and spring months, I had been lucky so far this year that they were head winds or side winds during my morning shoots. Unfortunately on this day the wind was to my back. I really wanted to get closer to the edge, so that I could tilt the camera down to get more of the waves against the rocks below. As I was finding it too difficult to stop myself from being blown forward and I had to shield the camera for this long exposure shot, this was as comfortable as I felt getting to the edge. This is a shot of Thatcher Rock (on the right) just off the Torbay coast. via http://500px.com/photo/158242897
